Personal Training Sessions
Achieve your fitness goals via sessions which are
Personalised, Flexible, Safe, Effective & Enjoyable

Whether you are young or older, an experienced gym goer or have never exercised in any way before, I devise one to one training sessions designed to utilise your time effectively and enable you to achieve your goals. Session duration is flexible  – I price per session and prioritise the quality of the instruction, a thorough warm-up and client goals, so total time is around 60-75 minutes.

After an initial assessment and discussion around what you wish to achieve, we will agree specific goals and timeframes. These may be primarily weight loss with toning up, or strength specific, muscle gain or endurance and conditioning related.

The exercise program will be individual and tailored to your specific abilities and goals. The aim will always be to provide  you with sessions which are interesting, varied, enjoyable, safe and effective. Every repetition and weight of every exercise is recorded so that the program continues to be sufficiently challenging and can be changed and adapted accordingly. This means my clients make consistent, meaningful progress over time in a progressive and effective manner. As part of the program I provide nutritional guidance in accordance with your specific goals, be that weight loss or lean muscle gain.

Progress will be monitored vs initial benchmarks (Eg. resting heart rate, blood pressure, strength indicators such as 1 rep max and flexibility etc) so that the program and/or goals can be adapted as and when necessary.

In general, sessions will cover:

  • Posture
  • Warm-up
  • Dynamic Stretching
  • Main Session
  • Cool Down & Stretching

The main session comprises of resistance/strength exercises and (if applicable) cardio vascular and/or conditioning and/or functional component. The composition of the session will be dictated by the specific goal(s) but always balanced (posterior/anterior and upper/lower). Depending on location, this may involve using equipment such as;

Barbells, Squat Rack, Dumbbells, Kettlebells, Resistance Bands, Cable machine, Gymnastic Rings, Battle Ropes and Medicine Balls etc.
