There are many reasons why someone decides to have personal training, so I think it’s useful to list some of them and briefly describe how my training programs relate to an individual’s goals and circumstances:

  • You  – have been considering going to a gym with a view to getting fitter and losing some weight but feel a bit uncomfortable walking into a gym or are not sure where and how to get started.

My training can take place at my home gym, a park or your own home. This removes any concerns around feeling awkward in a commercial gym setting. In my PT sessions you will gain a thorough understanding of and competency in all the key exercises covering all muscle groups.

  • You – play a sport as a hobby and want to improve your fitness and conditioning to help you enjoy your sport more.

I design metabolic and sports specific conditioning workouts via circuit training using battle ropes, steps, slam balls, weights, rower/bike and compound body weight exercises amongst many others.

  • You – are going on holiday or getting married and want to tone up and lose some weight in time for the event.

Because my programs are bespoke they are specific to your timeframe. When deadlines are a factor, the combination of a nutritional advice with PT sessions gets optimal results.

  • You – are finding that playing with grandchildren or doing the gardening is proving increasingly tiring or you have less mobility and flexibility than you’d like.

At almost any age, fitness levels can be improved. Mobility exercises combined with targeted strength exercises using resistance bands are highly effective.

  • You – have recently had a child and would like to get toned-up and back into shape.

I design full-body workouts with an emphasis on core training, ideal for improving core strength and overall muscle tone.

  • You – want to improve your physical look, gain muscle and lose belly fat.

My program for this goal is focussed on progressive overload using intensive compound exercises combined with nutritional guidance to ensure appropriate macronutrients and calorie intake.

  • You – work hard, have a busy family life and it’s hard to find time for health and fitness.

I understand this situation as I have experienced it myself. I design sessions which are time efficient and appropriate for your goals. In addition, I can be flexible in terms of location which is time-saving for my clients.

  • You – want to improve your fitness and/or physique but lack motivation and despite good intentions, have not managed to take steps to get started.

My programs are goal focussed so you always have your eyes on the prize. I like to ensure every session is taxing but varied and enjoyable. Because I take on a relatively small number of clients, I am available outside of regular sessions for advice and motivation.

  • You – currently workout and have never had a trainer and are having difficulty making the muscular or strength gains that you want.

In my PT sessions you will learn the appropriate exercises for your goals and the correct technique and intensity for each. This will properly target the areas required for growth and development.
