For many years I was interested in fitness and nutrition. However, a busy career as a partner in an asset management firm in London and family life prevented me from exploring this passion. There was little time for exercise and I was unfit and overweight and permanently tired. So in 2012 at the age of 46 I decided a lifestyle change was necessary.

I wanted to lose weight, tone up and generally get into good shape. So like many at this stage, I cut out the junk food and joined a gym.

My time at the gym was spent slogging away on a treadmill or rower punctuated by time on the resistance machines. After all, I thought isn’t this what everyone does to lose weight – “cardio” and some strength exercises to get toned up ??

After some initial progress my frustration grew as my progress halted. I was no longer losing weight and my strength gains had rapidly plateaued. It was then that I realised I needed to learn about nutrition and how to achieve meaningful and sustainable weight loss in addition to the techniques and knowledge of how to gain muscle, strength and flexibility. So I decided to become qualified as a PT and also a Weight Management Advisor.

Having achieved many of my fitness and health goals, I then decided to look for  opportunities to help people achieve their weight loss and/or strength and fitness goals.

Whether you want to lose four stones, get a little slimmer and tone-up, drop a clothes size for a wedding or holiday, gain muscle or simply get fitter and stronger then I can help you.

The physical and mental benefits of getting healthy and fitter cannot be underestimated, whether it helps you play with grandchildren or do the gardening, look and feel better about yourself or build muscle and attain the body shape you want, it will be one of the best investments you’ll ever make.

In addition to working with my clients, many of my interests are health and fitness related including working since 2018 as a volunteer Rehabilitation Assistant at Headway in Bedford.
