My name is Nick Bluffield. I’m 59 and I am a qualified Personal Trainer and Certified Nutrition & Weight Management Advisor.

I’m passionate about helping people improve their health, so whether you want to lose/gain weight, get fitter or both, please have a look around my website for the ways in which I can help you.

I design PT sessions which are bespoke to each client – lasting around 1hr to 1hr 15 minutes. Weights and repetitions of every exercise are recorded to enable progressive overload with programs adapted accordingly. This ensures my clients make consistent progress over time. Nutritional advice and bespoke home/gym workouts are also provided where appropriate, to compliment your program.

For weight loss specific, I offer 40 minute intense calorie burning conditioning circuits in addition to sports specific conditioning. 

I currently offer a free 20 minute PT taster session as well as online exercise and workout programs plus nutrition plans.

Reducing body fat, exercise and a healthy diet lowers your risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes and some types of cancers. Resistance training can be key to weight loss in addition to increasing bone density, reducing the risk of osteoporosis and helps reduce blood pressure and risks of CHD. It also improves strength, mobility, posture and balance as well as strengthening joints and connective tissues. Physical exercise and the right nutrition help to improve sleep, cognitive functioning and alleviate anxiety and stress.

In fact the government advises that physical activity alone reduces your chances of Type 2 diabetes by 40%, cardiovascular disease by 35%, depression and falls by 30%, joint and back pain by 25% and cancers (colon and breast) by 20%.

Your aim may be to get fitter, stronger and increase muscle mass or lose weight and tone-up or discover the nutrition program that will lead to sustainable weight loss. Equally, you may wish to develop strength and conditioning for a sport you play, drop a clothes size for a holiday or wedding or increase your flexibility and stamina for playing with grandchildren or doing the gardening. So regardless of age or exercise experience I provide a personalised, tailored service to meet your goals.

Based in Cambridgeshire (bordering Northamptonshire/Beds), the sessions are delivered in my home gym. Outdoor spaces such as parks and recreational areas are additional options, as is a commercial gym.

I train individuals of all ages but I limit the number of ongoing clients to 20 in order to focus each client’s unique needs and goals, including out of hours support and advice.  I also cater for couples and small groups.
